Terms of Service

Effective date: January 4, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Social Deliveries website, web application, and related services (collectively, the “Platform” or “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Important Summary (Read This)

  • Social Deliveries is a marketplace/job board only. We connect users; we do not provide delivery services.
  • No escrow, no guarantees, no insurance. Any payment, delivery agreement, or dispute is between users.
  • Use at your own risk. You are responsible for safety, legality, and compliance with all applicable laws.
  • We can suspend or terminate accounts for violations or to protect the Platform.
  • Liability is limited. We are not liable for user actions, losses, injuries, or disputes between users.

1) Definitions

  • Social Deliveries, “we”, “us”, “our” refers to the Platform operator: Social Deliveries.
  • “User” means any person or entity that accesses or uses the Service.
  • “Requester” means a User who posts a delivery request (“Job”).
  • “Driver” means a User who responds to, unlocks, bids on, accepts, or completes a Job.
  • “Job” means a listing posted by a Requester requesting delivery or transport of an item, with pickup and drop-off details.
  • “User Content” means any content Users submit, upload, or transmit through the Service, including jobs, messages, photos, reviews, and profile details.

2) Eligibility & Account Registration

You may only use the Service if you can form a legally binding contract in your jurisdiction and you comply with these Terms.

  • Age: You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the Service.
  • Accurate information: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and keep it updated.
  • Account security: You are responsible for maintaining confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
  • One person, one account (optional): We may limit multiple accounts or require additional verification.
  • Verification: We may require email/phone verification, identity checks, or other verification steps for certain features.

You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.

3) The Platform Is a Marketplace Only

Social Deliveries provides a technology platform that enables Requesters and Drivers to find each other and communicate. Social Deliveries does not provide delivery services and is not a carrier, broker, employer, agent, or insurer.

  • No escrow: We do not hold or transfer funds between Users unless explicitly stated as a separate service.
  • No guarantee: We do not guarantee that a Job will be completed, that a Driver will respond, or that a Requester will pay.
  • No insurance or guarantees: We do not provide cargo insurance, theft protection, damage guarantees, or refunds unless explicitly stated in writing.
  • User-to-user contract: Any agreement for delivery is solely between the Requester and the Driver.

You understand that using the Platform may expose you to risks (including property loss, disputes, and personal safety issues) and you assume those risks.

4) Requesters, Drivers, and User Responsibilities

A. Requesters

  • You are responsible for ensuring that your Job is accurate and lawful, including item description, pickup/drop-off details, timing, and any special handling requirements.
  • You must ensure items are properly packaged, lawful to transport, and safe for handling.
  • You are responsible for confirming identity/fit of the Driver if you choose, and for coordinating pickup/drop-off safely.

B. Drivers

  • You are responsible for your own vehicle, licensing, insurance, safety, and compliance with all laws.
  • You are responsible for inspecting items upon pickup, confirming instructions, and transporting items safely.
  • You are responsible for any permits or legal requirements needed to transport certain goods.

C. All Users

  • You must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and safety requirements.
  • You must not use the Service for illegal activity or to facilitate prohibited items.
  • You must be respectful and not harass, threaten, or discriminate against others.
  • You must not attempt to bypass Platform security, abuse systems, or scrape data.

5) Jobs, Bids, Unlocks, and Messaging

A. Posting Jobs

Requesters may post Jobs that include descriptions, pickup/drop-off locations, and requested delivery timing. You agree not to post misleading, fraudulent, or illegal Jobs.

B. Bidding, Unlocking, and Accepting

  • Unlocks/credits (if applicable): Some Jobs may require Drivers to use credits to unlock contact details or full job details. Unlocks may be non-refundable unless stated otherwise.
  • No guarantee: Unlocking a Job does not guarantee acceptance, completion, or payment.
  • Commitment: If you accept a Job, you agree to make a good-faith effort to complete it as agreed with the Requester.

C. Messaging & Communications

The Platform may provide in-app messaging or contact exchange. You agree to use communications solely to coordinate Jobs and to comply with all laws.

  • No spam, scams, phishing, or harassment.
  • No sharing of sensitive personal information beyond what is needed to coordinate a Job.
  • We may remove messages or content that violate these Terms or applicable law.

D. Ratings & Reviews (if enabled)

Users may provide ratings/reviews. Reviews must be honest, relevant, and not abusive or defamatory. We may remove reviews that violate these Terms.

6) Payments, Fees, and Taxes (User-to-User)

A. User-to-user payments

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, all payments and delivery compensation occur directly between Requesters and Drivers. Social Deliveries is not a party to user-to-user payments and does not handle chargebacks, refunds, or disputes regarding user payments.

B. Platform fees / credits (if applicable)

We may offer paid features such as credits, subscriptions, or promotional placements. If you purchase such features, you agree to pay all fees and applicable taxes.

  • Purchases may be processed through third-party processors (e.g., Stripe/PayPal) and are subject to their terms.
  • Unless otherwise stated, digital credits/unlocks are non-refundable once used.
  • We may change pricing with notice as described in “Changes to These Terms”.

C. Taxes

You are responsible for any taxes, reporting, licensing, or regulatory obligations arising from your use of the Service, including income tax on earnings (for Drivers) where applicable.

7) Prohibited Items & Prohibited Conduct

A. Prohibited items

You may not use the Service to request, offer, transport, or facilitate transportation of illegal, restricted, or dangerous items, including (without limitation):

  • Illegal drugs or controlled substances.
  • Weapons, firearms, ammunition, explosives, or components regulated by law.
  • Stolen goods, counterfeit goods, or items infringing intellectual property.
  • Hazardous materials, toxic chemicals, biohazards, or items requiring special licensing unless properly disclosed and legally permitted.
  • Human trafficking, sexual services, or any form of exploitation.
  • Any item prohibited by applicable law or carrier regulations in your jurisdiction.

B. Prohibited conduct

  • Fraud, misrepresentation, scams, or attempts to deceive other users.
  • Harassment, hate speech, threats, stalking, or discrimination.
  • Posting false jobs, fake identities, or impersonating others.
  • Interfering with the Platform (e.g., hacking, scraping, reverse engineering, malware).
  • Bypassing access controls or attempting to obtain user contact information without authorization.
  • Using the Platform to violate laws or third-party rights.

8) Safety, Risk, and Background Checks

Your safety matters. However, Social Deliveries does not conduct background checks unless explicitly stated. You are responsible for taking precautions, including:

  • Meeting in well-lit, public locations when possible.
  • Verifying job details and item condition at pickup.
  • Not sharing unnecessary personal details.
  • Calling emergency services if you feel unsafe.
  • Complying with traffic laws and safe driving practices.

You acknowledge that you use the Service at your own risk and that Social Deliveries is not responsible for incidents arising from user-to-user interactions.

9) User Content, Reviews, and Intellectual Property

A. Your content

You retain ownership of your User Content. By posting or submitting User Content, you grant Social Deliveries a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, modify (for formatting), display, and distribute your User Content solely for operating and improving the Service.

B. Content standards

You represent and warrant that you have the rights to submit your User Content and that it does not violate law or third-party rights.

C. Platform IP

The Platform, including all software, design, logos, and content provided by us, is owned by Social Deliveries and/or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service without our written permission.


D. Copyright / DMCA-style notice (optional but recommended)

If you believe content on the Platform infringes your copyright, contact us at legal@SocialDeliveries.com with sufficient details to identify the work and the allegedly infringing material. We may remove content and, where appropriate, terminate repeat infringers.

10) Third-Party Services

The Service may integrate or link to third-party services (e.g., maps, payment processors, authentication providers such as Google). Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Social Deliveries is not responsible for third-party services.

Some features may rely on third-party availability (e.g., maps/routing). We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to third-party services.

11) Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
  • We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or free of viruses.
  • We do not warrant the quality, safety, legality, or accuracy of Jobs, items, or user communications.
  • We do not warrant that a Job will be completed, that payment will be made, or that any user will act in good faith.

12) Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Social Deliveries and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, and agents will not be liable for any: indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, service interruption, personal injury, or property damage arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Social Deliveries’s total liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service will not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid to Social Deliveries for the Service in the three (3) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) CAD $100.

13) Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Social Deliveries and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Service, (b) your User Content, (c) your violation of these Terms, (d) your violation of any law or third-party rights, or (e) any dispute between you and another User.

14) Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe: you violated these Terms, you pose a risk to other users, you engaged in fraud/abuse, or suspension is necessary to protect the Platform.

  • You may stop using the Service at any time.
  • Termination may result in loss of access to your account and content, subject to applicable law.
  • Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive (e.g., disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity).

15) Disputes, Governing Law, and Venue

A. User-to-user disputes

Social Deliveries is not responsible for disputes between users. We may, at our discretion, provide tools or support to help users communicate, but we do not guarantee resolution and we are not obligated to participate in disputes.

B. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.

C. Venue

Except where prohibited by law, you agree that any legal action arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the courts located in Ontario, Canada, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

16) Privacy

Your use of the Service is also subject to our Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand how we collect, use, and share information.

17) Modifications to the Service

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, including features, availability, or functionality. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

18) Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a new effective date. By continuing to use the Service after changes become effective, you agree to the updated Terms.
